Energomashbank Begins Sending Money Using BLIZKO System
OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2009. Energomashbank OJSC in St. Petersburg began sending customers' money using the BLIZKO transfer system. Its new service will enable customers to send money instantly in rubles, U.S. dollars, and euro to destinations in Russia and other CIS countries without opening bank accounts.
"Connection of Energomashbank to the System is a strategically significant step in its development and in making its positions stronger in St. Petersburg that will raise demand for BLIZKO money transfers,” said Andrei Laikov, Sviaz-Bank’s Executive Director. “Energomashbank operates an extensive network of 44 offices in the city’s districts - Central, Admiralteisky, Moskovsky, Petrogradsky, Nevsky, Kalininsky, Kirovsky, Frunzensky, Vasilievsky Ostrov, and Vyborgsky, 14 of which are open for business for 24 hours. They all accept money for transfer.”
The commission fee is between 1.3% and 2% depending on the amount transferred. It takes a minute to make a transfer, regardless of destination. The money transferred can be collected at any BLIZKO system office in the destination country.
At present, the BLIZKO system covers the territories of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova (including Transnistria), Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Latvia.
