OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2009. The State Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has put into operation 10-jacket platform #660 at offshore field Banka Darvina in the Caspian Sea.

SOCAR reports that the platform was installed in the area where sea depth is 17 m. It is planned to drill 12 wells from it.

Today the platform is numbering 121 wells and their overall daily debit is 200 tons of oil. The field has been operated since 1950 and since then produced 16.2 million tons of oil. Its balance reserves are estimated in 3 million tons.
