OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2009. This September the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) increased liquefied gas extraction by 5.64% compared to August of the year and reached the best production per month.

SOCAR informs for Jan-Sept of the year it was produced 120,250 tons of liquefied gas versus 181,130 in 2008, 145,030 in 2007 and 148,220 in 2006.

In September the production totaled 18,720 tons against 17,720 tons in August, 15,140 in July, 13,180 tons in June, 11,140 tons in May, 6,340 tons in April, 14.350 tons in March, 12,570 tons in February and 11,080 tons in January. In December 2008 it was produced 11,610 tons of liquefied gas and record production was registered in October 2008 (18,050 tons) and in December 2007 (20,120 tons). Now September of 2009 also entered the list of records.
