OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2009. The inter-governmental agreement with Russia for the construction of Byelorussian Nuclear Power Plant will be signed in Oct 2009, Head of the Nuclear Energy Department of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus Nikolay Grusha said during a press-conference.

Presently, the parties are coordinating specific provisions of the agreement. “I think that we will meet the deadlines and in Oct the agreement will be signed,” Grusha said.

The preliminary environmental impact assessment of Byelorussian NPP project will be discussed at public hearings Oct 9. All concerned people may take part in the discussion.
