OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2009. An international agricultural exhibition dubbed as CaspianAgro-2009 has kicked off in Baku with the presence of delegations from Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Qatar, Syria and other countries.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abasov said that the exhibition would give impetus to the export of home-grown agricultural products in the future.

According to him, the government support and care has already spurred the export of agricultural products and development of agricultural processing industry.

National stands of Belarus and Latvia, as well as 85 pavilions are displayed at the exhibition.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also visited the exhibition.
