OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2009. Freight One transported more than 385,000 metric tons of nepheline ore to Rusal’s Achinsk Alumina Refinery in July-August. Freight One’s average haulage in this period increased by 30% compared with the second quarter of this year.

The ore is loaded at Kia-Shaltyr Station in Kemerovo Region from the strip mine of the same name. From there, Freight One hauls it to Achinsk-2 Station in Krasnoyarsk Territory. The product of nepheline concentrate processing—high-grade G-00 alumina—is then hauled to facilities of Rusal’s aluminum division.

Freight One made 12—13 additional runs from Kia-Shaltyr to Achinsk-2, increasing the average monthly haulage to the refinery.
