OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2009. Freight One will haul an additional 320,000 metric tons of coal in September to the combined heat and power (CHP) plants of Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia. Coal will be hauled to the heating plants that are substituting for the Sayano-Shush Hydro Power Station.

Freight One has made four additional runs, each with 42 gondola cars, on the route from Kilchug Station (Pereyaslovsky Coal Mine, Krasnoyarsk Territory) to Krasnoyarsk State District Power Station 2 (GRES-2, part of OGK-6). Freight One will deliver 120,000 metric tons of coal this month to Krasnoyarsk GRES-2, which provides heat and power to the western districts of Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Freight One will make five additional coal runs to the CHPs of JSC Irkutskenergo. Coal runs will be made from regional coal mines to the Novoirkutsk CHP in Irkutsk), the Angarsk CHPs in Angarsk) and CHP-6 in Bratsk. The additional runs will total about 170,000 metric tons.

Freight One will haul another 30,000 metric tons of coal to Gusinoozyorsk GRES (part of OGK-3) located in the Republic of Buryatia.

Freight One intends to dispatch up to 5,000 cars of coal in September to compensate for the region’s energy shortfall.
