Freight One Hauls 80,000 Metric Tons of Petroleum Products in Yakutia
OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2009. Freight One hauled 80,000 metric tons of petroleum products from Krasnoyarsk Territory to the Osetrovsky River Port in the Irkutsk Region city of Ust-Kut and adjacent railway stations from June to August. All the deliveries were made to Verkhnelenskoye River Shipping Company as part of Freight One’s efforts to organize the Northern Delivery program in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and northern Irkutsk Region.
The bulk of the freight originates from Rosneft’s Achinsk Oil Refinery in Krasnoyarsk Territory. From there, Freight One’s tank cars are dispatched to the Osetrovsky River Port, which loads onto ships up to 80% of all the freight destined for Yakutia and northern Irkutsk Region.
Freight One plays a key role in hauling petroleum products as part of the Northern Delivery program, largely due to the high level of service it provides and its strong position in the regional oil transportation market. Freight One’s share in oil haulage on the Krasnoyarsk Railway, where the Achinsk Oil Refinery is located, has increased by 15.2% since the beginning of the year.
