OREANDA-NEWS. October 06, 2009. Perm Branch of SOGAZ Insurance Group has entered into insurance contracts with OJSCOJSC Mineralnye Udobreniya (Perm), one of the largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers in the Urals and Western Siberia, reported the press-centre of SOGAZ.

Under these contracts, SOGAZ will provide comprehensive insurance coverage for the property of OJSCOJSC Mineralnye Udobreniya, and will insure the machinery and equipment employed by the enterprise in its production activity against any possible breakdowns. The property is insured against the risks of fire, water and electricity damage, human errors and incautious acts of third parties.

Moreover, SOGAZ Group will provide insurance coverage for the enterprise’s legal liability in cases of damage caused to the life, health, or property of third parties and natural environment as a result of an accident at dangerous production facilities owned by OJSC Mineralnye Udobreniya.

The amount of coverage under the insurance policy regarding the property of OJSC Mineralnye Udobreniya is RUR 19.3 billion, and that under the insurance policy regarding the machinery and equipment is RUR 5.8 billion. The enterprise’s legal liability is insured for RUR 19 million. The insurance contracts will have a one-year period of validity.

OJSC Mineralnye Udobreniya was established in 1981. Today, the enterprise produces such high-efficiency nitrogen fertilizers as liquid synthetic ammonia and prilled carbamide, which are sold both in Russia and abroad.
