OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2009. Cargo turnover of the Temryuk port decreased by 5.62% (to 1 million 638.4 thousand tons) within the period of the first nine months of 2009 as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In September Temryuk port’s cargo turnover amounted to 152.28 thousand tons that is almost 20.74% more than the figures of the corresponding period of 2008.

The port dispatched for export 1 million 541.58 thousand tons of cargo within the first nine months of 2009 which is 2.9% more than the figures of the 2008 corresponding period.  Volume of import cargo operations decreased by 59.27% (to 96.82 thousand tons). Turnaround of shipping amounted to 508 units in January-July 2009.

Temryuk seaport is located on Taman coast of the Azov Sea. The port has 1200 meters of maritime terminals. The port mainly handles general cargoes: lumber, timber, metal, heavy-lift cargoes and food stuffs.
