OREANDA-NEWS. October 2, 2009. According to the eight months of 2009 results passenger traffic of Pulkovo Airport had a total enrolment of 4 438 911 people, which is 10 % less than the activities of the eight months of 2008, including:

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries for the eight months in 2009 had a total enrolment of 1 999 644 people, which is 11,9 % less than the number of passengers, carried during the eight months in 2008.

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 2 076 537 people, which is 9,2 % less than during the eight months in 2008.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS decreased by 3,2 % and had a total enrolment of 362 730 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations decreased by 10,5 % during the eight months in 2009 and had a total enrolment of 57 904 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 2 034 thousand tons, the decrease is 12,8 % as compared with the same period in 2008.

Results of August 2009

According to August results passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 832 020 people, which is 4,2 % less than it was in August 2008, including:

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 361 466 people, which is 2,7 % more than in August 2008.

International airlines passenger traffic to foreign countries in August 2009 had a total enrolment of 398 195 people, which is 10,1 % less than the number of passengers carried in August 2008.

Passenger traffic to the countries of CIS decreased by 2,2 % and had a total enrolment of 72 359 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations decreased by 4,7 % in August 2009 and had a total enrolment of 9 164 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 321 947 tons, the decrease is 11,3 % as compared with the same period in 2008.
