OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2009. As it was informed in the Parliament, this nomination was approved at the meeting of the parliamentary legal committee on immunity and nominations.

It is expected that the candidacy of Corneliu Ghimpu will be approved at the meeting of the parliament on Friday. Previously Corneliu Ghimpu worked as the vice president of Comertbank, the head of the credit department of Banca de Economii and recently performs duties of the chief of the credit department of Victoriabank.

Among the candidates for the post of the chairman of the National Bank were Sorin Hadirca, Dumitru Ursu, Veronica Bacalu and Victor Cibotaru.
