OREANDA-NEWS. October 02, 2009. ROSNO’s Nizhny Novgorod branch has concluded two large cottage property insurance contracts. The aggregate insurance amount under both contracts is 32,794,371 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The cottage owners have insured their property for one year under the extended cottage insurance program Citadel.

The cottage house in the suburbs of Dzerzhinsk has been insured against fire; lightning stroke; natural disasters, aircraft impact; collision with transport vehicles, broken glass; damage by extraneous objects, unlawful third-party actions; burglary, robbery and brigandage; flood (including the same due to malfunctioning washing machines or dishwashers; aquarium or breakdown in water supply, sewage, or heating systems occurring outside the insured area; as a result of freezing liquids in water supply, sewage, heating, firefighting or air-conditioning systems); damage to plumbing or auxiliary systems and electronic devices.

The additional risks include costs of hiring another residential premise for the duration of repairs (if the house is unsuitable for living); costs of cleaning up the insured area from the effects of the insured accident; costs of early return from vacation, business trip or office due to an insured accident; costs of replacement of door locks and entrance door keys; costs of rescuing, relocating and protecting the insured property. The aggregate contractual insurance amount is 11,792,147 roubles.

Another insured cottage house is located in Balakhninsky district, Nizhny Novgorod Region. The owner insured it together with furnishing and movable property against the same set of basic and additional risks for 21,002,224 roubles.

The Citadel cottage insurance program contemplates comprehensive insurance coverage of a cottage, its internal furnishing and plumbing systems. The program also includes insurance coverage of household property and land plot with auxiliary installations, landscape structures and trees located thereon.

In total, in 8 months of the current year, ROSNO assumed responsibility for insurance coverage of personal cottage property under the Citadel cottage insurance program for the aggregate amount of over 600 million roubles.
