OREANDA-NEWS. October 01, 2009. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Komi Republic (the Komi OFAS Russia) initiated a case against "Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network" Federal State Unitary Enterprise (RTRS) for the elements of violating Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (which prohibits abusing dominant position by an economic entity), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon a petition of "SeverTeleCom" ("STC"). OFAS Russia suspects that "RTRS", in the person of its subsidiary "Radio-TV Broadcasting Centre of the Komi Republic" ("RTPTs RK)", violated the law by setting different rates for different organizations for the services of technical maintenance of TV and radio equipment.

The Komi OFAS Russia will hear the case on 19th November 2009.
