OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2009. Yenakievskiy Steelworks < ENMZ UZ U/R > signed the agreement with ING Bank NV (Netherlands) to attract investments in the frames of the Kyoto Protocol mechanism. The agreement is directed on power saving technologies implementation, increasing power efficiency of the capacities and decreasing negative environmental effect of the enterprise.

This news is POSITIVE not only for the Company, because the Kyoto Protocol mechanism allows attracting additional investments for the enterprise modernization, but also for city of Yenakievo since the modernization will decrease the industrial emission of the Company about 1.5mn tones of CO2 equivalent till 2012.
