Russian Agricultural Bank Maintains Resilient Operations
OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2009. Amid financial turmoil Russian Agricultural Bank continues resilient performance in all aspects. In January-August 2009, average monthly growth rates of RusAg’s loan portfolio amounted to 3%, reported the press-centre of RusAg.
Since the beginning of 2008, the Bank has extended 236 thousand loans exceeding RUR 452 billion in the framework of the State Program on Agribusiness Development.
Since 2006, starting from the launch of the National Priority Project on Agribusiness Development, RusAg has extended 2,500 loans totaling RUR 106 billion for building, reconstruction and modernization of animal breeding projects. In 2009, the Bank also extended over RUR 7 billion for further financing of ongoing investment projects.
Since 2006, RusAg has extended RUR 75 billion to personal household plot owners. Average monthly amount of such loans totaled some RUR 2 billion. The Bank has also extended ca. RUR 50 billion to farmers and RUR 13 billion – to agricultural consumer and credit cooperatives.
For the current year crops RusAg has extended over RUR 130 billion.
