OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2009. The Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants (Energoatom Concern OJSC) will be renamed back into Rosenergoatom.

The renaming is stipulated by decree 1307 issued by Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin on Sept 14 2009.

This decree allows using the word “Russian” in the name “Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants.”

Presently, in compliance with the requirements of the federal law № 208-ФЗ “On Joint Stock Companies,” Energoatom Concern is making relevant changes to its charter.

As soon as the changes are approved by the only shareholder of Energoatom Concern OJSC and are registered, the Concern will be able to use the name “Russian Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants.”
