OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2009. The Naftogaz of Ukraine company has held talks with powerful owners of Eurobonds concerning restructuring of debts. The Minister of Fuel and Energy Yurii Prodan informed a media conference at the House of Government.

“Naftogaz of Ukraine has now got with propositions to the stock exchange concerning restructuring. Practically all necessary negotiations with creditors, with the biggest owners of Eurobonds were held and these owners were proposed very serious, well-reasoned restructuring,” the Minister stressed.

At this, Yurii Prodan predicts that the owners of the Eurobonds will agree to propositions of Ukraine. “The situation will be calm. There won’t be any default,” the Minister emphasized.
