5% Duty Set on Wood Processing Machines Imported into Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2009. New import duties are set on timber processing equipment. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a regulation No. 742 ‘On temporary import customs duty rates for certain types of equipment’, as Klerk.ru informed Lesprom Network.
The full text of the regulation is published on the official site of Russian Government.
The regulation sets a 5% import duty for machinery and equipment for timber processing, i.e. planing, peeling, grinding, and milling machines, for the period of nine months.
The document will come into effect one month after its official publishing.
