Moscow State University will launch the satellite in the honour of its founder, Mikhail Lomonosov, on the . The development of the 500-kg-satellite has already started.

The project is implemented together with Roscosmos, namely Electromechanics R&D company.

Recently Roscosmos launched University-Tatiana-2 satellite for the University.
