OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2009. The banking group of the First Czech-Russian Bank (FCHRB) and European-Russian Bank (ERB) participated in the 51st International Engineering Fair which took place in Brno (Czech Republic), reported the press-centre of FCHRB.

This fair is one of the largest in Czech Republic and has a long-established international recognition. Every year around two thousand European companies participate in the event and the number of visitors reaches well into a few hundred thousand The First Czech-Russian Bank has been involved in the fair for the sixth year running but it was the first time that the ERB-FCHRB banking group, formed by the opening of FCHRB subsidiary in Czech Republic, was present.

 The FCHRB-ERB stand was very popular at the fair with over 200 visitors – mainly the management of Russian, Czech and Slovak companies and banks, such as Vitkovice, PSG Intl., Stomix, Sigma Group, Smeral, Slovenske Elektrarne, Trens, Tos Svitavy, Czech Export Bank, EGAP, Czech-Slovak Trade bank, Chamber of economic relations with CIS ciuntries, Chamber of Trade and Industry of Slovak republic and others.

 The stand provided information on the available banking products as well as on the advantages of the banking group, which focuses on servicing trade and economic relations between Czech Republic and Russia. A number of new business contacts were made at this fair and a range of cooperation agreements established relating to financing of Russian-Czech and Russian-Slovak trade projects, provision of guarantees and netting agreements.

As part of the fair program, there was a Russian business day on the 15th of September 2009. Participants included representatives of Russian and Czech bodies and ministries, regional authorities of Czech Republic and Russian Federation as well as representatives from business and mass media in Russia and Czech Republic. From FCHRB-ERB presented Mr. Horejsi who is a deputy CEO. His report on the potential of the banking group and future plans on the development of the Russian-Czech trade and economic relations was very popular with the audience.

 Overall, the fair allowed FCHRB-ERB group to present to a large group of potential clients. It showed its shared products and services for servicing companies which participate in Czech-Russian and Russian-Czech business.
