OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2009. Standing meeting administration of Novosibirsk region was at Tolmachevo Airport Novosibirsk. The meeting discussed the progress of construction and the readiness to use the second runway (Runway 2) of airport.

Representatives of State, JSC Airport Tolmachevo, contractor and owner runway-2 went to runway site. Chairman of the meeting, the first vice-governor of Novosibirsk region, a member of Board of Directors of JSC Tolmachevo Airport Vasily YRCHENKO visited runway-2.

At airport meeting members checked the services readiness for the delivery of the second runway of airport as it planed by December 2009.

-We’ll have finished everything until the deadline, - said Vasily YRCHENKO. –Engineering, lamp signaling, radio equipment installation will be done.

First Vice-Governor of Novosibirsk region noticed that plans of air navigation services will be specified by 1 October.

-Technical solution build in such way that category of runway can be upgraded to ICAO Category III, - said Vasily YRCHENKO. -Tolmachevo Airport can admit aircraft at any weather practically with zero visibility.
