OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2009. The Gov’t promise to ensure payment of subsidies in the amount of UAH 750 per hectare to agricultural enterprises – producers of sugar-beets. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced during the all-Ukrainian meeting dedicated to the development of sugar-beet industry, held in the framework of her working visit of Vinnytsya region.

“UAH 750 per hectare is an average price paid by the country for effective production of sugar-beets,” the Head of Government explained. 

Yulia Tymoshenko informed the Gov’t would elaborate a special model of payment of subsidies for enterprises growing sugar-beets for 2010. According to her, the amount of subsidy will depend on the amount of yield and production.

At this, the Premier stressed that the Gov’t would start payment of subsidies the current year already: “Undoubtedly, the full amount of UAH 250 million that was laid in the budget and completely covers payment of UAH 750 per hectare of the subsidy will be recompensed”.
