OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2009. The volume of transactions of the currency market of Moldova in August, 2009 has made US464,05 million, having decreased in comparison with the last month by US 23,73 million (4,9 %).

According to the NBM, the average daily volume of transactions has increased from US 21,05 in July up to US 24,27 in August, 2009 From the total amount of transactions of the currency market the share of operations with dollar has made 62,25 % (US 287,01 million). The share of transactions from euro has made 34,02 %, with Russian rouble - 2,63 %, with Romanian lei - 0,1 %, with the Ukrainian grivna - 0,03 %.

In comparison with July, 2009, in August the share of circulation with dollar has increased by 4,74 points, with euro - has decreased by 4,6 points, with the Russian rouble - has decreased by 0,13 points, with Romanian lei - has decreased by 0,01 points, and with the Ukrainian grivna - have increased by 0,02 points.

The average rate of lei in relation to dollar in August has made 11,2172 lei (11,2240 lei in July), in relation to euro - 15,9874 lei (15,7822 lei), to the Russian rouble - 0,3554 leis (0,3580 lei), to Romanian lei - 3,8103 lei (3,7653 lei), and to the Ukrainian grivna - 1.3788 lei (1,4280 lei in July).
