OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2009. The Executive Credit Agency (ECA), a non-bank credit institution, has summed up results of its credit unions’ activities by this September.

The ECA reports that as of 1st September 2009 overall portfolio on the credit unions up to AZN 29.244 million (\\$36.377 million in accord with exchange rate by 1st September: AZN 0.8039 to the US dollar).

For reported term 15,823 loans were disbursed, including 11,700 to men and 4,123 to women,” the Agency reports.

The number of active members of ECA reached 4,194.

42 credit unions are members of ECA.

The ECA established by the alliance headed by Turkey’s G&G to spend ADCP-1 credit component was acquired in 2005 by the Association of Credit Unions of Azerbaijan (AKIA).
