OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2009. Dmitry Shtyrkov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, attended the 7th International Banking Forum Banks of Russia – 21st Century, hosted in Sochi on September 3-6, 2009.

The Forum agenda covered the 11th banking conference Making the National Banking System Stronger: Russia and the global financial crisis, traditional roundtable discussions of the most urgent banking practice problems, and a working meeting of the International Coordination Council of Banking Associations in the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (IBC).

The arrangement of meetings at the Forum gave the participants an opportunity to discuss a set of key problems, trends and prospects for the development in such areas as state regulation of banking activity, regulation of credit institutions’ activity and management of troubled loan portfolio in a crisis situation, as well as problems related to small and medium business lending and other topical issues.
