IDGC of North-West to Forecast Change of Loads and Energy Consumption
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2009. Since 1 October 2009, all of the company's branches will forecast change of loads and energy consumption for a five-year period under a uniform method.
IDGC of North-West has developed the “Standard of Forecasting Prospective Change of Loads and Energy Consumption in the Territory of the Constituent Entity of the Russian Federation Attended by IDGC of North-West”. The document is put into effect in all of the Company's branches since 1 October 2009. The standard provides a uniform approach, improves reliability of forecasts of prospective change of loads and power consumption in the territories. Formation of the forecasts of prospective change of loads and energy consumption will be carried out for a five-year period.
The “Standard of Forecasting Prospective Change of Loads and Energy Consumption in the Territory of the Constituent Entity of the Russian Federation Attended by IDGC of North-West” is a part of documents of the quality management system of the "Marketing" process. Implementation of the Standard will contribute to formation of long-term business planning in the company’s branches. IDGC of North-West becomes the first united operational company where the standard of forecasting prospective change of loads and energy consumption will be realized.
According to the IDGC of North-West's prospective development and technological connection department, forecasting of loads is carried out on the basis of the official information and mathematical statistics methods. Information interchange about the plans and programs of the territorial, social and economic development of the constituent entities of the North-West Federal District and about energy efficiency programs will be carried out within the limits of the agreement signed earlier with the Northwest branch of CJSC "Agency for Forecasting Balances in the Electric Energy Industry".
Forecasting energy consumption is built on the basis of the analysis of the given large consumers, and dynamics of macroeconomic and mesoeconomic parameters. Development of forecasts applying various methods and comparison of the received results will allow for provision of quality and reliability of the forecasting.
According to the lead expert of the prospective development department Alexander Yurinov, the Standard will enable revealing tendencies of development of electric networks, estimating demand for electric grid services, defining energy deficiency zones, proving volumes of new construction, reconstruction and modernisation of electric grid objects, and specifying schemes of prospective development of electric networks.
