OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2009. COMSTAR-Ukraine Ltd., subsidiary company of COMSTAR – United Telesystems (JSC COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the largest operator of integrated telecommunication services in Russia and the CIS, and SITRONICS Information Technologies one of the leading suppliers of solutions, products and services in the field of information technologies in Eastern Europe and CIS countries, completed project for creation of test network of wireless broadband access (WBA) in Kyiv and Odesa, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS Information Technologie.

Within the project scope specialists of both companies designed and deployed system of wireless broadband radio connectivity that provides fragmentary coverage in some districts of Kyiv and Odessa. The network operates on the basis of broadband access equipment by Proxim in frequency range 5 GHz.

Wireless broadband access network  COMSTAR-Ukraine works on the basis of multiservice data transmission network created using NGN (Next Generation Network) solutions.  

“Development of wireless broadband access network is one of the steps aimed at expanding of range of services and technologies provided by the company to its subscribers.
