Kazakhstan GDP Decreased 2,3% for Jan-Jun 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2009. Gross agricultural output for Jan-Aug 2009 made up KZT 524.8 billion, 5.5% down on the like period of 2008, reported the Official website government.kz.
Unemployment rate in August made up 6.4%.
GDP for Jan-Jun 2009 totaled KZT 6446.3 in current prices. Real GDP decreased 2.3% on the like period of 2008. Production of goods accounts for 39.0% of the GDP, with services accounting for the other 61%.
Capital investments for the period under review totaled KZT 2599.1 billion, 5.4% on the same period of 2008.
Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover for Jan-Jul 2009 made up USD 36614.9 million, 42% down on the like period of 2008, with exports standing at USD 21003.4 million (50% down) and imports at USD 15611.5 million (25.9% down).
Industrial production for Jan-Aug 2009 totaled KZT 5270.9 billion in current prices, 1.5% down on the like period of 2008.
As of September 1, the number of legal entities made up 293571, 5.2% up against 2008.
State budget revenues as of August 1, 2009 totaled KZT 2066.4 billion, with budget expenses at KZT 2168.4 billion (and budget deficit of KZT 102 billion). As compared to the like period of 2008, the revenues grew 2.1%, with expenses growing by 2.7%.
Banks loans to the national economy as of the end of July totaled KZT 8079.6 billion, 11% up against 2008. Deposits with the banking system totaled KZT 6284.4 billion, 35.7% up against the like period of 2008.
