OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2009. According to the RBC.Rating, Unit Investment Trust "Ostankino-Russian Communications", managed by MC of the Bank of Moscow, has entered the Top-5 open funds in yield terms in August 2009. During the month, the value of a trust unit rose by 21.01% and, since the beginning of the year, the yield on the UIT, as of 31 August 2009, amounted to 122.56%.

"As of the end of August, it is precisely UITs orientated on telecommunications that have demonstrated the best dynamics", comments Vladimir Vedeneev, Director of the Asset Management Department of the MC of the Bank of Moscow. "We have focused on shares in inter-regional companies, which account for 60% of our portfolio. This has proved to be a winning strategy."

MC of the Bank of Moscow abides by the principle of clean unit trust investment strategies. This means that the funds raised for branch UITs are invested in shares in the companies announced in the name of the branch trust. Abidance by this principle has allowed maximum yield to be attained of the trust orientated on telecommunications company stock.
