OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2009. Aizkraukles Banka has started issuing highest-class credit cards — VISA Platinum and Infinite — to its customers, reported the press-centre of Aizkraukles Banka.

Cards are issued with considerable credit limits: starting from EUR 10 000 for VISA Platinum cards and from EUR 50 000 for VISA Infinite cards. Thus, they not only prove the holder’s solvency, but also prevent unpleasant surprises during travelling. It often happens that the amount required for booking a hotel accommodation or renting a car is first blocked, and then the same amount is withheld from the account, without unblocking the initially blocked amount. In this case the credit limit of lower class cards may be quickly exhausted, and the customer usually realizes that only when it is already time to pay. Using VISA Platinum and VISA Infinite cards, customers are protected against such situations.

Besides common credit card services, the holders of Platinum and Infinite cards are ensured special attitude when paying for goods and services in many places of the world. The holders of these cards are guaranteed travel insurance, a free supplementary card, and a number of other advantages. Moreover, Infinite card package contains a special benefit — Concierge-service. It allows customer to obtain information on hotels, restaurants, entertainments; necessary booking is made on behalf of the customer, as well as delivery and courier services are provided all over the world. The customers are also offered roadside assistance and other services of qualified professionals. On customer’s request, Concierge service may also be provided to Platinum cards.

Aizkraukles Banka issues VISA Platinum and VISA Infinite cards to customers using the bank asset management and investment services. The customers who consciously and thoroughly plan their finances at once will notice the obvious benefits of these cards: in case the spent amount is repaid to the account until 15th next month, no interest on using credit is charged. Thus, the customer is actually provided interest-free credit for a period of up to 45 days.

VISA Europe has confirmed that Aizkraukles Banka is currently the first and only bank in the Baltic States that issues VISA Infinite cards. Apart from VISA products, Aizkraukles Banka also offers premium-class American Express cards — Platinum and Centurion, as well as MasterCard credit cards to its customers.
