OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Azerbaijani is prepared for discussion of commercial issues of extraction of deep-laying gas in offshore block oil fields Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli.

Vagif Aliyev, Director of Management of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed that the company invited its partners on development of the block to give offers concerning development of gas deposits.

“The issue will be discussed on the basis of their commercial offers some of these days,” V.Aliyev said.

Resources of such gas are estimated at 400-500 billion cu m.
