OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Russian militia uses GLONASS for urgent investigations and control of the mobile squads, representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

GLONASS helps to monitor the squads in real time in order to send them to the needed location urgently. Thus, Russian Global Navigation System provides the opportunity to detect a crime promptly.

Criminal militia squads also use GLONASS to monitor mobile objects. The navigation equipment used by the militia is tested in Kaluga.
