Irish Airline Starts Flights from Vilnius to London
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Irish airline Aer Lingus starts its direct flights from Vilnius International Airport (VIA) to London (Gatwick), reported the press-centre of Vilnius International Airport.
Flights between Vilnius and London are scheduled 3 times a week and in winter season from end of October to end of March on a daily basis. They will be operated on aircraft Airbus 320, which has the total seating capacity of 174 passengers.
“We are pleased to witness successful operation of Aer Lingus, our long-time business partner, at Vilnius International Airport and further expansion of its flight geography”, says Mr. Tomas Vaisvila, VIA General Director.
Since spring 2007 the airline has been also operating flights from Vilnius to Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
According to Mr. T.Vaisvila, all airport services are ready to service aircrafts and passengers arriving and departing on new routes.
“Vilnius Airport has all possibilities and facilities, after landing, to ensure safe and convenient access of passengers to the Arrivals terminal, smooth completion of necessary customs procedures, prompt recovery of luggage and safe departure from the airport”, says Mr. T.Vaisvila.
