Step Rate of Crude Oil Pipeline to TANEKO Reached 2 Km per Day
OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. Along with construction of the construction of the refineries and petrochemical plants complex TANEKO (Nizhnekamsk) OAO TATNEFT started large-scale works on construction of the crude oil pipeline for the facility, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
A new 118 kilometer long trunk line will connect the future complex wwith the oil pumping station (NPS) “Kaleykino” (Almetyevsk Region of Tatarstan), which is part of the OAO ‘AK Transneft” system. The pipe diameter is 720 millimeters. This is sufficient to provide for the future increase of the crude oil pumped from 7 to 14 million tons of crude oil per year. The amount 6.75 billion ruble has been allocated for the construction of the pipeline from the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation.
The order for the facility has been placed by OAO AK Transneft Company, which elected OAO TATNEFT to acts as a contractor. The General Contractor of the Construction is OOO Glavneftegazstroyservis Management Company, which is an entity established in 2006 as a result of withdrawal of the subsidiary construction units to the external service complex of OAO TATNEFT. The Contract was concluded in May of the current year and the first weld joint has already been made in July. Completion of the linear pipeline portion has been scheduled for the end of October while the surface structures and facilities will be ready by the end of the year.
Large-scale labor force and funds have been mobilized for fulfillment of the task assigned as well as the most up-to-date technologies are employed with application of advanced erection methods, welding with application of semi-automatic welding machines and movable welding units. About 400 persons (with 117 welders out of this number) and over 250 pieces of construction equipment are involved at the construction site. The work is performed around the clock at seven areas concurrently. The construction “step rate” reached 2 km per day by the beginning of the fall season.
