OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2009. The 16-th International Exhibition "Oil & Gas. Petrochemicals" opened at the Kazan Fair Exhibition Centre with OAO TATNEFT being one of the major participants, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

Traditionally, significant space in the display of TATNEFT has been allocated to the new and most effective to date methods of enhanced oil recovery, which application accounts for more than 45% of the Company’ total annual oil production, as well as to advanced progressive technologies of oil production. If the Company presented only four separate systems of co-mingled completion/production of two or more development objects through the same well (with sucker-rod pumps only) last year, this year the Company has already presented more than 12 technologies of dual completion/production (with electrical submersible pumping units in models with different parameters of the upper and lower pressure limits). These options of efficient dual completion/production operation have already been tested in individual wells of the Company.

You can also familiarise at the display with the latest news about the development of TATNEFT related with (for the first time in Russia) development of high-viscosity oil deposits. Three pairs of horizontal wells drilled at Ashalchinskoye field have already produced about 31,8 thousand tons of high-viscosity oil as of today, since the beginning of pilot project. Completion and development the fourth and fifth pairs of wells is on the way at present, while drilling of sixth well pair is in the process with application of the only slanted drilling rig with an inclined mast available Russia. The information on these operations presented at a special stand, as well as samples of this type of hydrocarbons are of particular interest for the experts, as well as for all other exhibition’s visitors.

The service companies established as a result of their withdrawal from TATNEFT into outsourcing non-core businesses were for the first time represented by individual stands. For example Tatneft-TruboprovodServis (TN-TPN) Management Company displayed the pipes with internal coating, which had recently been certified in accordance with the requirements of Gazprom and Transneft Companies. Today, TN-TPN Management Company has expanded its products to the markets of 17 regions in Russia. The experts of OAO TATNEFT have also taken an active part in the international scientific/ practical conference "Innovation technologies in geology and development of hydrocarbons", as well as in a series of other conferences held in the framework of exhibition "Oil & Gas. Petrochemicals".
