OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2009. COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (JSC COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading supplier of integrated telecommunication solutions in Russia and the CIS, announces that on September 1, CJSC COMSTAR-Regions (100% affiliate of OJSC COMSTAR-UTS) announces an introduction in 22 regions of the Group presence  of a new MainSTREAM unlimited tariff for Internet broadband access services.

The tariff is aimed to attract new subscribers among young people aged 17 through 25. Internet access rate for MainSTREAM tariff are region-dependent and vary between 128 and 512 Kbit/sec, with the subscription fee starting from 3.22 roubles per day.

This plan may be enabled from September 1 till October 31, 2009. The tariff shall be valid from September 1 till October 31, 2009. After that, starting January 1, 2010, subscribers will be automatically transferred to one of the regular (region-dependent) unlimited tariffs or another tariff chosen by the subscriber.

Dmitry Bagdasaryan, Deputy Director General, Commercial Director of CJSC COMSTAR-Regions, gave his comments on the launch of federal marketing campaign: “The main idea of our new tariff is provision of our subscribers with an option to use unlimited Internet access at reasonable prices. Various competitions will be held on the website; special blogs will be opened and subscription applications for MainSTREAM will be accepted. With this campaign we intend to drastically increase current subscriber base growth rate”.
