OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2009. According to its payment balance statistics, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)  registered increase of gas export from the country over the first six months of 2009.

CBA reported that in the first half of 2009 gas was exported in the amount of USD 529.8 million versus  USD 245.2 million as a result of the first quarter of 2009, USD 674.4 million over 2008, USD 41.1 million over the three quarters, USD 14.5 million over the first half-year, USD 5.6 million over the first quarter, USD 65.7 million in 2007 and USD 3.2 million in 2006.

As a result, gas export has already provided 6% of the country’s overall export (USD 8,843.5 bn) versus 6.8% as a result of the first quarter of 2009, 2.2% in 2008 and 0.3% in 2007.
