Within the working tour of Mr.Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Aktobe oblast, Kazakhtelecom JSC, the leading telecoms operator has familiarized the head of state with the process of realization of projects on securing information communicational  maintenance of land transport corridors of the country, including in the rural area. Also the Head of state has been informed on realization of the program on increasing of Kazakh content in purchase of goods, works and services of Kazakhtelecom JSC, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

Presentation of Kazakhtelecom JSC on projects for using telecommunication transit potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been presented to the Head of state.

Telecommunication mains are organized today between Europe and Asia through wire cable networks of 20 000 – 30 000 km long. In its turn the route, passing by the territory of Kazakhstan has several advantages:

-  short distance – about 9500 km;

- route organization on partners’ land main infrastructure;

-   high reliability as against to undersea cable networks;

-   short terms for faults removal;

-  order points, comfortable for clients.

In this connection Kazakhtelecom JSC uses this chance and performs a complex of actions n effective use of country’s transit potential. In these goals a program of telecommunication transit potential of the company has been approved in 2007. The main projects of this program are: bandwidth increase of the National information super main (NISM); inter network communication widening with operators of neighboring; POP organization of company’s networks abroad.

Using of DWDM technology gave a chance to increase NISM from 2,5 Gbit /s to max  possible - 400 Gbit/s. Today 90 Gbit/s are enabled that is 36 times more of the existed index.

Together with NISM upgrading, Kazakhtelecom JSC continues an activity on inter network communication with neighboring countries operators. Upgrading of existing joints and construction of new joints of company’s backbone networks with neighboring counties operators’ networks is carried out. Kazakhtelecom JSC had 7 joints with total bandwidth of 6,1 Gbit/s prior to these works. Works in the following directions carried out for the last period:

Russia– 3 joints of 40 Gbit/s;

China – 3 joints of 7,5 Gbit/s;

Central Asia– 4 joints of 21 Gbit/s.

After all projects completed the number of joints will be increased up to 15 with total bandwidth all joints of 90 Gbit /s. This will 6 times more that existed till project realization.

An active work on organization of new backbone routes and Kazakhtelecom JSC networks spread outside the Kazakhstan is carried out in the goals of transit potential realization. Today PoPs have already organized (РоР, Point of Presence) in Moscow, Frankfurt and Hong Kong.

"Thanks to realization of these projects, Kazakhtelecom JSC network” has formed as Central Asian  hub, about what confirms sales dynamics of transit services for the last three years.  Nonswitched transit grew in 9 times, Internet-transit in 3 times. Thus, Kazakhtelecom JSC network is the most attractive base for creating telecommunication corridor between Europe and Asia", - noted Mr.Askar Zhumagaliyev, chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC.

Due to the plans of the lading operator of the country, transport infrastructure support of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be secured with developed telecommunication network k with wide spectrum of services, including rural area. Various technologies such as radio extenders, traditional fixed telephony, satellite systems, wireless radio access of CDMA-450 standard are applied today for securing rural areas with telephone communication and Internet access.

CDMA network scanning is the most economical way of existing rural infrastructure. Today 227 base stations to which 122 335 subscribers are installed in the Republic. Thereby, rural population 1200 is provided with telephone communication by CDMA-450 technology. It is planned that by results of upgrading and development project  of rural communication using CDMA technology to 2013 Kazakhtelecom JSC will provide telecommunication services in all rural regions of the republic by principle of faultiness installation.

Also the Head of state has been informed on adopting by Kazakhtelecom JSC of the program on increasing of Kazakh content in purchase of goods, works and services. Within this program group of companies of Kazakhtelecom JSC concluded contracts with local suppliers for purchase of goods, works and services for total amount of 23 milliard tenge for 8 months of the current year that composes 71% of total purchase volume.

In the whole Kazakhtelecom JSC executed its obligations for 102% by realization of concluded memos in the beginning of the years with Kazakh commodity producers (total 57) by purchase of their products.
