OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 September 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh became an official insurance company of the Federation of Hockey of Russia, Partner of the Russian National Hockey Team and the Youth National Team of Russia.

Besides that Ingosstrakh insured players of the National team for the period of athletic training (including the Olympic training undergoing now in Moscow), games  of the Euro Hockey Tour, preparation for and participation in the World Hockey Championship 2010. The insurance policy is signed for one year and covers such risks as death caused by accident or disease, invalidity caused by an accident, trauma and surgical operation as a result of an accident.

The partnership between the insurance company and the Hockey Federation of Russia began three years ago, on September 2006 when Ingosstrakh became an official partner of the HFR, partner of the Superleague, Partner of the National Team of Russia, and the Youth National Hockey Team, as well as became the official insurance company of the Hockey Federation of Russia.

In spring 2007 Ingosstrakh insured all players of the Russian National ice Hockey Team against accidents during the World Championship in Moscow. In 2008 Ingosstrakh Life insured 15 players of the Russian National Team of Russia during the World Championship in Canada. The insured party was the Federation of Hockey of Russia. The insurance covered the risks of permanent full (or partial) disability caused by an accident. During the World Championship games of 2007 and 2008 some players were injured. Ingosstrakh fulfilled all the assumed obligations by covering costs for the treatment of the athletes.

In May 2009 Ingosstrakh Life insurance company insured 20 players of the Russia Open Championship – a championship of the Continental Hockey League. Besides that Ingosstrakh IJSC insured emergency medical expenses of Russian hockey players playing abroad in the National Hockey League during the participation of the Russian National Team in the World Championship in Switzerland. The insured party was also the Hockey Federation of Russia

In his comments to the signing of the contract Vice–president of IJSC Ingosstrakh Ilya Solomatin noted: ‘We believe that significant sports achievements are only possible if both the state and the business community demonstrate serious attitude and assistance to physical culture and sport. We support veterans of the Soviet Hockey and facilitate training and improvement of skills of young hockey players who can join Russia’s national team to defend the honor of Russia during the Sochi Olympics in 2014. We look forward to enjoying new victories of Russian athletes at worlds major hockey fields.     We lay great hopes on the XXI Olympic Games in Vancouver next year. And, of course, would like to see our National Team, the current World Champion, become gold medalists of the World Hockey Championship of 2010.’
