OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2009. In January to July 2009, the Azerbaijan State Railway CJSC (ADY) fulfilled plan of oil transit carriages.

Chairman of ADY Arif Askarov informed that by August 1, oil transit carriages grew by 2.619 million tons versus the level of 7 months of 2008, exceeded planned task by 10.9%, and made 11.742 million tons.

In 2008, the railway transported 27.4 million tons of oil, including 6.6 million tons of oil inside the country. Transportation of transit oil made 4.4 million tons.
