OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2009. Murtaza Rakhimov visited KAMAZ after he had participated in the meeting where the issues of social and economic state of Privolzhsk Federal District objects under the crisis conditions had been discussed. The meeting was held in Yelabuga by Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Chairman of the RF Government.

The purpose of Bashkortostan President’s visit to KAMAZ was to discuss realization of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Bashkortostan Government and KAMAZ Inc. It should be recalled that the Agreement was signed in May 2009 to support the KAMAZ Group enterprises located in Bashkortostan – Neftekamsky Automobile Plant and Tuimazy Concrete Delivery Truck Works. It was announced that the republic allocated the means from the federal center for purchasing KAMAZ products.

Accompanied by Sergey Kogoghin, Director General of KAMAZ Inc., and other top managers, Murtaza Rakhimov visited OAO KAMAZ-Diesel and Cummins KAMA Joint Russian-American Enterprise.

- We came to see how a new engine production is organized at the joint venture. We expect that this production and its output will be the most up-to-date, - said the head of Bashkortostan.
