OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 September 2009 was announced, that a golf club is to be developed in Kurkino Township of northwestern Moscow within the all-inclusive reconstruction of Yurovo Village.

According to the relevant order signed by Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov on September 2, the Moscow Department for Physical Training and Sports is entrusted jointly with the Moscow Golf Federation to prepare a target specification for building the golf club on Yurovskaya Street in a month.

Moskomarkhitektura, the Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development, is to work out a preproject proposal for developing the golf club structure with the area of up to 1,500 square metres during the same period.

As a reminder, the decision to develop a complex of golf links with infrastructure near the Skhodnya River in Kurkino Township was made by the Moscow Government in 2006. A 9-hole golf course is to be commissioned in Kurkino at the end of 2009. A golf academy, a sports school for children and a recreation centre will be open within the golf club as well.
