Volume of Moldovan Export Decreased 22,1%
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2009. The National Bureau of Statistics informed, in particular, in January-July 2009 the volume of Moldovan export made US692,2 mln., 22,1% decrease as compared to the same period of 2008.
The volume of export to the CIS countries made US 250,7 mln., 26,6% decrease. Moldovan export to the EU countries decreased by 19,2% - to US376,5 mln. The volume of import to Moldova in January-July 2009 made US 1 bln. 762,6 mln., 36,6% decrease as compared to the same period of 2008. Import to Moldova from the CIS countries decreased by 34% - to US 642 mln., while from the EU countries – by 38,5% - to US 758,9 mln.
The deficit of trade balance of Moldova with the EU countries in January-July 2009 shows 50,22% - to US 382,4 mln. decrease as compared to the same period of 2008, while with the CIS countries - 38% decrease - to US 391,3 mln.
The biggest deficit of trade balance in January-July 2009 Moldova had with Ukraine - US 195,9 mln., then go: Kazakhstan - US 153,8 mln., China - US 118,7 mln., Germany - US 97 mln., Turkey - US 76,2 mln., Italy - US 47 mln., Russia - US 32,9 mln., Austria - US 29,2 mln., Poland - US 24,2 mln., Romania – US 22,3 mln., France - US 22,1 mln. The data of the National Bureau of Statistics do not cover the trade and economic operations of Transnistria region enterprises.
