OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2009. In January-August, 2009, Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port handled 855,600 tonnes (-29%, year-on-year), the company reports.

The volume of cargo not related to sea traffic totaled 46,300 tonnes (-22%); export – 160,600 tonnes (down 3.4 times); import – 293,400 tonnes (up 1.5 times); coastal trade cargo – 355,300 tonnes (-12.6%).

In the reported period, throughput of Archangelsk seaport fell by 34.2%, year-on-year, to 2.26 mln t.

Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a multi-profile stevedoring company operating at the port of Archangelsk. It is specialized in transshipment of general cargo, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metal, fertilizers, heavy equipment and dry bulk cargo. ACS’s facilities enable it to handle 4.5 million tonnes of cargo per year. In 2008, Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port handled 1.763.9 million tonnes of cargo.
