OREANDA-NEWS. On 9 September 2009 was announced, that the Kandalaksha aluminium factory will receive new orders. "Rusal" increases metal release in the Polar region is it is connected with tragedy in the east of the country. As the company "Russian aluminium" is the affected party, she owns the enterprises which ate from the oldest hydroelectric power station of Siberia – Sajano-Shushenskaya and now remained without an electricity. Experts say, that because of technogenic accident "Rusal" can lose about a half-million of tons of aluminium in a year. Meanwhile, nonferrous metal last days rises in price. If demand for aluminium grows and further, and the electricity in Siberia to rise in price - is not excluded, that "Rusal" will address to the Kandalaksha factory. We will remind, that from the beginning of year manufacture at this enterprise was reduced to 25 %. The equipment part has been preserved. Now at factory works about eight hundred fifty persons. For today reduction of capacities KAZa is already stopped, so, there is every chance, that the enterprise will survive.
