OREANDA-NEWS. On 9 September 2009 was announced, that Altay grain processor PAVA continues harvesting winter wheat and rye. Today, operations are conducted according to the schedule and specialists of the company give them a positive estimate.

As of September1, PAVA farms “Niva” (the Solton district) and “Allac” (the Kamensky district) completed harvest of winter rye on 75% and 60% of the acreage respectively. This year, the crop yield is significantly higher compared to the previous period. On some fields it reaches up to 70 hundredweight per ha, the average standing at 37 hundredweight.

Harvest of winter wheat fields are 60% completed. The average yield here is 25-30 hundredweight per ha.
