OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2009. In 2009 East-Siberian Railway (VSZHD), the branch of OJSC RZD, will spend more than 1.4 billion rbl. to purchase new locomotives.

7 new electric EP-1P locomotives and 5 diesel locomotives TEM18d have been already delivered to this railroad. Another EP-1P locomotive will arrive to VSZHD in the near future.

Thus, total 27 new locomotives will be purchased for the East-Siberian Railway’s locomotive deports within the framework of this railroad’s Investment Program 2009.

Total 15 passenger electric locomotives EP-1P, 7 cargo electric locomotives 2ES5К "Ermak" and 5 diesel locomotives TEM18d will be put into operation.
