Irkutskenergo Disclaims Radioactive Load Information
OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 September 2009 was announced, that the programme Irkutsk News broadcasted on the channel VGTRK (Irkutsk) said that a radioactive load was found in Ust-Ilimsk. The programme claimed that the load was sent to the metal collection center of Amurvtormetbaikal ltd from the territory of Ust-Ilimsk thermal generation station. JSC Irkutskenergo disclaims this information as not true and harming the business reputation of the Company. The information provided by Amurvtormetbaikal ltd is not truthful, which is proved by the documentation of metal collection signed by the representatives of the two parties with a note about absence of radioactive materials.

The installed capacity of the power station is 12.9 GW, more than 9GW of them belonging to the hydro power plant. The Federal Agency for State Property Management possesses 40% of the shares of JSC Irkutskenergo, and the largest Russian private energy company EuroSibEnergo (belongs to En+Group), 50.19% of the shares.
