Lithuanian Railway Cuts Transit Tariffs for Freights from Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 September 2009 was announced, that AO Lithuanian Railway on September 1 set discounted tariffs on carriage of cargoes from Belarus, the Belarusian Transport Ministry said in a press release.
The Lithuanian rail operator reduced tariffs for gas fuel oil to 35.2% of the standard rate, for technical salt to 40.1% (for deliveries to Klaipeda) and 76.5% (for deliveries to Poland).
Earlier, Lithuanian Railway cut the tariffs for soybean products transport from Russian exclave region of Kaliningrad by 20%, and the tariffs for crushed rock deliveries from Belarus to Kaliningrad by 30%.
